Gyroscope

Gyroscope (also abbreviated as Gyro) is a device for measuring or maintaining angular orientation. In early multicopters this device was a mechanical disc with a free moving axle. The early type of Gyro was also called Mech Gyro. In current multicopters Gyro describes an angular velocity sensor. Also called Piezo Gyro or MEMS Gyro.
